What to bring to your VORT

Use this page as a practical checklist before your Vehicle On Road Test. Exact rules can change; always confirm with official South Australian Government and My Licence SA materials.

On the day - typical items

  • Current learner's permit (or other licence documents required for your situation)
  • Proof of identity if the examiner or authorities require it
  • Corrective eyewear if you must wear glasses or contacts to drive
  • If using your own car: a roadworthy vehicle that meets test requirements (registration, L plates as required, etc.)
  • Payment confirmation from BYVO on your phone or email (so you know time, location, and examiner)

Vehicle options

When you book through BYVO you may choose your car or the examiner’s vehicle (where offered). Fees differ; you’ll see totals before checkout. If you use your own car, it must meet the examiner’s and legal requirements for the test.
